About the Founders

Kay Toye and her husband Robert Reine are the founders of the Ecorejuva Institute, a primarily virtual learning community that provides professional certifications, training, and consulting in biologically aligned design for both physical spaces and wellness practices.

Kay brings a unique systems-thinking approach to wellness, shaped by over a decade of experience as an environmental consultant and a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management. Her work is grounded in the understanding that our surroundings and the pressures they place on us directly affect human health at the deepest biological level. This perspective is enriched by a lifelong study of healing traditions. Kay is a yoga teacher, an Ayurvedic Marma therapist, and the owner of a Yoga and Wellness Studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which also serves as the headquarters for the Institute. She is currently deepening her practice through ongoing study in Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Sowa Rigpa, a field in which she has found a natural home due to its long history of innovation and integration, weaving together wisdom from modern science, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and Greco-Arab sources.

Robert brings a complementary scientific and legal lens to the Institute’s work. A microbiologist by training, he holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, and a Juris Doctor focused on Environmental Practice, with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of science, health, and policy. His career has been dedicated to understanding how environmental conditions influence public health outcomes and how thoughtful regulation can protect communities.

Together, Kay and Robert founded the Ecorejuva Institute to bridge the gap between the built environment and human biology, creating a space where ancient sensory wisdom and modern science meet. Their work invites professionals and individuals alike to learn how to shape spaces and practices that restore rather than drain, building the foundation for lasting health and vitality.
